Corporate Policy Development in Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability

SiFT will work to develop a defined and explicitly stated CSR and Sustainability policy. This policy will be the

guideline and reference point that will set the groundwork for all sustainability related activities moving forward. 

Energy, Water Management and Monitoring

SiFT will develop baseline measurements from at least the previous 12 months and identify all energy / water draws that your organization directly pays for. Each month, your organization will receive brief reporting explaining the previous month's usage profile, cost avoidance from the previous year (normalizing for weather), and cost savings verification following any energy efficiency projects. 

SiFT will identify all manageable waste streams and develop strategies to reduce waste on a weighted basis.

A major and often understated element to CSR and Sustainability is procurement strategy.....or "consumption" strategy. Much of your Green House Gas (CO2-e) emissions will depend on your organization's CO2-e load in your supply chain. SiFT will identify and seek out alternative sourcing options with lower CO2-e profiles that are at least cost neutral.

CSR and Sustainability initiatives that your organization undertakes should not go unnoticed. CSR and Sustainability is becoming almost a basic, knee jerk qualification that sets one organization apart from another in the marketplace. In short: Having a robust CSR and Sustainability Policy creates a competitive advantage that the marketplace needs to know about. SiFT will create a stand alone, simple media campaign to help inform the public at large that your organization is taking the steps necessary to be become a better corporate citizen.

At the end of the year, SiFT will publish on your behalf an annual report as part of your Marketing and Community Outreach efforts. The report will outline in narrative and technical forms, all of your organization's efforts towards becoming a better corporate citizen. The report will include analysis of all monitored items including all energy savings and CO2-e reductions and will identify areas where improvement can be made for the following 12 months.
